The parish runs a Sunday School for 5-11 year olds who do not attend catholic school. We meet in the back room of the Parish Centre for an hour from 11 am on Sundays during term time.  We have a faithful group of young people who help and Father John also comes to talk to the children and give us a blessing before we go back to our homes.  Our aim is to inform the children about their Catholic faith and to help them develop a lifelong friendship with Jesus.  Within Sunday School, the children are prepared for First Reconciliation and First Communion;  during this process they share liturgies and develop friendships with the children who go to our catholic schools. 

The Sunday School logo (below, right) shows a circle of children around a cross formed by four L-shapes.  These stand for Lots of Love, Laughter and Learning. This was designed for the Millennium Banner by Emma Bryant and Kristy Tomlinson.
