The Parish Pastoral Council

The Pastoral Council follows the example of Jesus Christ in service to the parish community:

.

It is a consultative body that seeks the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and works in cooperation with the diocese of Nottingham to advise the parish priest who is ultimately responsible for the decisions made.

.

It will develop, maintain and implement the parish pastoral plan.

.

It shares responsibility for continuing to build the parish into a vibrant Christian community living the gospel values of love, justice and peace.

.

It is concerned with issues that affect the lives of the parishioners.

.

It coordinates parish activities.

.

It encourages participation in the life of the Church.

.

It seeks consensus for future developments of the parish community and its mission.

.

It will seek to maintain and develop ecumenical relationships with other churches.
