| Advent 2008 | |||||||||
| During
Advent, displays and reading material were available in the Gathering
Area, and the Advent candle was blessed and displayed on the altar. The
Advent wreath was displayed, and its candles were lit progressively during
the Sunday Masses. Parishioners were encouraged to make their own Advent
wreaths, and these were blessed during the Sunday Masses.

At each Mass, symbols were hung on the Jesse tree on the altar, each symbol offering an opportunity to reflect on different aspects of Advent, and the feast of Christmas. |
