Our candidates for Confirmation under the guidance of their catechists have been busy in preparation for the Sacrament. They have been meeting monthly in their small groups and have volunteered to assist in a number of projects in the parish.

On Saturday March 14^th all the candidates and the catechists spent their day ay the Briars as part of the programme. The day was led by Tom Baptist and the Briars outreach team. The candidates spent the first part of the day involved in many group activities focusing on the gifts of the Holy Spirit. A competitive spirit was shown by all and candidates were encouraged to reflect on what they had learned.

The focus of the second part of the day was on commitment in which the young people were asked to make pledges to their parish and the outside world.

The day concluded with Mass in the evening led by Fr. Joe Wheat.
