On May 31^st, representatives from the five churches gathered together at Our Lady of Lourdes church to celebrate Pentecost Sunday and renew their commitment to working together towards Christian unity.  It is now 10 years since ‘Churches Together’ was established

They were blessed by a glorious sunny afternoon.  People relaxed in the warmth on the church lawns, chatting or taking advantage of the many entertaining activities.  It was good to see so many senior parishioners participating; some even took advantage of the face painting on offer. There were very generous, tasty contributions for the shared picnic and everyone enjoyed a delicious tea, with hot and cold drinks served in the hall.
